Industrial Design. Craft & Design, Sheridan

Jamie Dayan
Craft & Design – Industrial Design, Sheridan

I am interested in Industrial Design and Furniture Design.

I enjoy taking objects apart and looking at why everything is put together in the way in which it is. In my own work, I aspire to design objects in non-traditional ways. I try to think outside the box. I enjoy creating intricate patterns and complex drawings, it not only challenges me but helps jump start my creativity.

On the CoDA trip to India, I am hoping to learn about the traditional ways of working with textiles and wood, to better my understanding of those materials and how to manipulate them.

There is so much culture, history, color, design, patterns and art in India that I am excited to see and experience. I am super pumped to be heading to the other side of the world. Not only to learn about crafting but to see a new world, to hear the sounds, see the sights and taste the foods of a different culture!
